The SmartWireless Network Configuration Tool is a custom device designed to configure Detcon`s RXT and CXT SmartWireless devices. The RXT-300 and RXT-320 series transceivers make wireless communication possible between controllers, sensors, and alarm stations in any SmartWireless gas detection system. The Network Configuration Tool is used to synchronize and change wireless channels on any RXT transceiver and to configure RXT-300 wireless networks. The Configuration Tool is lightweight yet powerfully equipped and has a 10.1 touch panel widescreen LCD for display and user input. The device interfaces with a USB wireless radio for easy communication and accurate configuration. The device is powered by 100-240VAC with supplied AC adapter, or can operate off an internal rechargeable battery for up to 8 hours on a single charge. The radios in the Configuration Tool and RXT/CXT devices use the 2.4GHz frequency based upon the IEEE 802.15.4 standard. In order to communicate with each other, each device within the network must be set to the same RF channel and Network ID. The radios can be set to one of 16 RF channels (0-15) and many thousand Network IDs. Consequently, up to 16 RXT/CXT series based systems can be located in the same general area.
